There are not many paintings of stalks of wheat around - lots 0f wheat fields and all that. I know that Thomas Hart Benton painted several in a painting, but Salvadore Dali was the man who painted the definitive wheatstalk masterpiece. I once saw a Life magazine article about Coco Chanel and it showed the painting hanging over her fireplace. In all the books of his work I have never seen it or even read about it.I once went to a museum dedicated to him, in Tampa, and I looked for it there, but it was not.
