push pump oil cans 6x7 1/2

I found this couple on a basement shelf in an old house I rented. I cleaned them up and probably due to oil, the long necks gleamed in the light but the dome parts were rusty and dull. I put them in a large stillife at that time (before I was doing the daily painting}.. this is my current postcard size version.

I always thought that Adam and Eve gave apples a bad rap but I checked it out - all the pagans had similar stories about apples. The Vikings thought a goddess named Frigg overheard a king praying for his wife to have a child. Up until then she was barren. Frigg sent him a magic apple for his wife to eat. She ate it and had a 6 year pregnancy.
